The Multicultural Studies and Social Innovation Center

The Multicultural Studies and Social Innovation Center is administered under Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University.  It serves as an academic unit concerning the area of multicultural studies and relevant research, whereupon its focus is given to cultural issues and relations between different cultures in the Thai society and other parts in the Asian regions, based on the knowledge in politics, economy, human security, history, and society.  Recent works examine an unseen capital in several Thai communities.  More works are designed to tackle the questions of cultural studies in an advanced mode, for example, an approach to increasing some cultural values in support of multicultural development, the use of mass media and other information channels in promotion of the cultural exportation industry.  The Multicultural Studies and Social Innovation Center also acts as an association network to form cooperation with related agencies such as public actors, academics, and the civil society sector.  The network is expected to embark on new, exciting projects.  All the staffs are committed to their responsibility with innovative thinking, including a will to generate the outputs for the best interest of the end user and Thai society.
